Desborough Sailing Club is an official Royal Yachting Association training centre 

Applications for Summer 2026 are now open!

We are running sets of 2 day courses between 27th – 30th July

Club members having priority booking; applications but will be open to the public if places remain available.

These courses are great fun! For students and instructors!

They are aimed at children from 8 years old and above, and adults who would like to learn to sail or would like to improve their sailing skills. Many of our members first learnt to sail on one of these courses.

We offer the following courses:

DINGHY

• Dinghy Level 1 - Start Sailing

• Dinghy Level 2 - Basic Skills

• Dinghy Level 3 - Better Sailing

• Dinghy Start Racing

• Dinghy Seamanship Skills

• Youth Sailing Scheme - Start Sailing Stage 1

• Youth Sailing Scheme - Start Sailing Stage 2

• Youth Sailing Scheme - Start Sailing Stage 3

• Youth Sailing Scheme - Start Sailing Stage 4

Price for members is £60

Price for non members is £110 which also includes 3 months club membership, use of buoyancy aid, certificate and log book.

As a special offer we are offering 4 days (two consecutive courses) for the price of 3 days i.e. £90 (members) .
A hot lunch is available for adults at £6 a day. The club house will be open where drinks and snacks can be purchased.
